Tour Highlights
Beautiful steam train ride through Epping Forest followed by a bus tour of the historic Essex countryside
Afternoon tea provided in one of Essex’s famous tea rooms
booked separately.
Price: £175.00 per person
Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Saturday
10:30am onwards: Meet your tour guide at the ticket office of Epping Ongar Rail Station, North Weald, CM5 9BN. Comfort break
10:55am: Board the steam train with the tour guide for ride through Epping Forest before going to Ongar
11:45am: Steam train arrives at Ongar. Comfort break. Look around Ongar station, visit Pictorial Exhibition, Buffer Stop Buffet, Station Novelty Shop or Signal Box 1888 at the end of the platform.
12:00pm: Board the air-conditioned minibus for a 1 and a half-hour tour of Essex countryside.
13:30pm: Arrive at the Essex Tea Room for your afternoon tea.
13:30pm – 14:45pm: Afternoon Tea
14:45pm: Drive back to Ongar Station. Short comfort break
15:30pm: Catch your steam train back to North Weald station where your tour ends
